My Grand Plan For 2012

At first I thought about recording a country album that was like every kind of country western gospel choir banjo redneck soul bluegrass old timey pop type record, but 2013 might be a better year for that.
Instead, I am going to release one song a month, each month, starting January 12th, 2012. Each song will be accompanied by a full video. I've thought about this a lot and I've been needing to do an epic record, with the help of all of my friends and musician pals I've met over the years I think that will be the most fun I've had in years...
I've already begun drafting emails and making calls to get the ball rolling, but if you would like to work with me, please email me or hit me up on Google+, facebook, Twitter, or your momma.

Ever been in a situation where you can tell someone is about to drop a bombshell on you, emotionally? It's a kind of cathartic situation when it's over, but the anticipation and dread of what may come out of a significant other or good friends mouth is one of the worst feelings in the world. I can only imagine how those guys on Maury Povitch feel when they're about to find out if they are, indeed, the baby daddy or not. I wrote a song about that particular feeling that the Germans most likely have a neat word for.

Thanks to Jim Dick and Sam Horne for singing some super awesome harmonies and back up on the chorus, and Sam helped me move some words around to make the second verse work. It only took me like 55 takes to get it! Thanks guys.

It's no secret that the coolest martial art on the planet is Sumo wrestling. There is a whole culture wrapped around this noble way of hug fighting. I said hug fighting! Let me show you a couple videos that illustrate the reasons I almost want to get ESPN 2 for.

This first video is pure fantasy but this is what I see when I watch a sumo match.

This a good video showing some matches. Please excuse the horrible dance music. Also it is shot with tilt shift photography which makes everything look like a miniature model. I like that.
